For decades, Celeste Onorati has woven her spirituality into every aspect of her lifeʼs work. Her journey as an artist began with a sacred devotion to mindfulness, astrology, and the creation of healing tools, most notably her rose petal malas, which have been cherished by spiritual leaders and loved ones around the world. Her artistic process, much like her teachings, is one of profound care and intention, reflecting her belief in beauty as a form of connection—both to ourselves and to something far greater. Whether offering her intuitive guidance through astrology or sharing her creations in places like Urban Zen and ABC Carpet & Home, Celesteʼs work has always been a way to honor the delicate thread between the spiritual and the tangible.
In recent years, life brought new challenges in the form of multiple hand surgeries, leaving her with chronic pain and limited mobility. Yet, in her typical fashion, Celeste met this moment with grace, turning to Chinese brush/Sumi-e art painting as a new form of expression. Though her hands no longer allow her to create the malas that once defined her artistry, she now pours the same dedication into painting, using every stroke as a meditative practice. Her pet portraits and floral pieces are not merely works of art; they are an extension of her deep connection to the world around her, offering a window into her heart and spirit. Through this next chapter of her creative journey, Celeste continues to show us that even in moments of limitation, there is infinite possibility for beauty, connection, and healing.
